ADHD Coaching on the Gold Coast

You’ve read the productivity tips. You’ve bought the planner(s). You’ve started the system more than once or twice. And yet, somehow you’re still staring down the same wall.

ADHD coaching helps you understand and work with the brain you’ve actually got, instead of fighting it to try to make it do things like other people. You might be productive at certain times or the day or enjoy doing tasks a certain way – we gather this type of data together and finesse an action plan tailored to you.

We work in partnership to break it down into bite-sized steps that are achievable and sustainable and I hold you accountable along the way. We pivot and adjust as needed to ensure that you have the best pathway forward to achieve your goals.

A coach and a therapist – in the same person

Normally a coach and a therapist are two different people, and you end up repeating your story to both. With me, you get both at once. Coaching is forward-focused and practical – where you want to go, and what’s getting in the way. Therapy is for working through the things that may be underneath.

Because I do both, we use whichever the moment calls for, and you’re not stuck picking the right door before you’ve even started. That means we can do the practical, get-things-moving forward work of coaching – and if something deeper turns out to be in the way, we just shift gears. Most people don’t sit neatly in one box, and you don’t have to either.

Is this you?

  • You know what you need to do. Actually doing it is a struggle.
  • Your motivation runs on “interesting” and “urgent,” not “important” and “necessary”.
  • You start strong (often on Mondays), and then the system collapses by Wednesday.
  • Time feels slippery – either there’s loads of it or it’s already gone.
  • You’re tired of white-knuckling your way through systems that aren’t built for how you think.

You don’t need to have it all figured out before we start, we can do that bit together.

I work with teens (14+) and adults – whether you were diagnosed last week, decades ago, or just fairly sure you have ADHD but have never made it official. You don’t need a formal diagnosis to start.

Cost & funding

ADHD coaching is a private service. It’s not claimable through Medicare (that’s the therapy side, see Fees & Rebates).

But there are two other ways it may be funded:

Employment Assistance Fund (EAF)
A government fund (through JobAccess) that helps when your ADHD affects you at work. In short:

  • You’re working at least 8 hours a week (employed or self-employed)
  • You’re an Australian resident
  • Your ADHD has an ongoing impact on your work
  • It’s not means-tested – your income doesn’t affect eligibility
  • It can cover up to ~$1,680 per year towards coaching
  • You don’t have to tell your employer if you’d rather not
  • It works as a reimbursement –  you pay, then claim back the sessions you’ve attended

If the application feels overwhelming, please reach out. I can absolutely help you apply for this funding.

Kai (Sisu Training)

Kiran’s understanding, zero-judgement approach made me feel comfortable with sharing my authentic thoughts and feelings with her – and clear my head. As the goals were broken down into small baby steps, it was relieving to realise “this actually is doable” – and sustainable!

Mark (Truly Wholistic)

Kiran provides a grounded, supportive space with practical advice, knowledge and application. As a high-functioning ADHD business owner, I’ve found it’s helped me prioritise decisions and actions instead of burning out by spreading my ideas and energy too thin, as well as giving me sound principles for managing energy and relationships.

Jamie A.

Really good experience with Wild Ground Therapy. It’s a very different style of therapy compared to the usual office sessions. The outdoor walk and talk approach makes it feel a lot more relaxed and natural, which made it easier to open up and actually talk through things.
